Miriam Haskell Partners Up With J.Crew

Miriam Haskell, the American costume jewelry house opened in 1926 that has created pieces for women including Coco Chanel, Joan Crawford, Lucille Ball, and the Dutchess of Windsor, has collaborated with fashion powerhouse J.Crew to design a bridal collection that will be unveiled next week. Sounds like a brilliant collaboration. We've been hearing rumors that J.Crew will be expanding its bridal offerings and will open a standalone bridal store on the Upper East Side of Manhattan later this year. Stay tuned for more details. SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW: Miriam Haskell, the 84-year-old American costume jewelry brand, is teaming up with J.Crew for a special bridal jewelry collection. The line will be unveiled to editors on April 12 at Core Club in Manhattan.

I checked out Miriam Haskell's website (click here) and liked many of the pieces from the Legacy Collection. As for the prices ...dayum! Not sure why costume jewelry is costing more than real jewelry from Tiffany's, but okay. On a bright note, here's to hoping that the partnership produces some lovely pieces of jewelry! :)
