Yup, these same exact pants use to cost $79.50 just a few months ago (refer to the September 15th "J.Crew Email: Must-have minnie pant + FREE SHIPPING" post).
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that J.Crew has increased the price of an item in a period of a couple of months. They did the same thing with the Schoolboy Blazer. Sneaky, very very sneaky.
